THE BASICS
We're creating a night of magic and connection through music and sharing openly. This means you'll get an audience that's keen to hear your stories about your songs, your music, and are there to listen to your unique voice and expression! yay!
How the night runs:

Welcome
We welcome everybody and create a few connections and banter in the room so that the first act gets a 'warm' audience. We loosen the nerves and walls that most of us have in a new space with a group of strangers.

Sound Checks
Sound checks will be super simple, and we ask that your setup is kept reasonably simple too. We'll chat before the night about what you need, then aim to get you running as part of the night, rather than having everybody in super early for specific sound checks.

Between Acts
The host for the night will chat and have a bit of banter between acts to keep things flowing, as well as allowing us time to switch artists and get the basics of sound sorted etc. Please aim to have your gear ready around the last song of the act before you so we keep the vibe flowing. We have an actual intermission/break in the middle of the night. -
Filming and Snaps
We'll capture photos and video during the night, as well as a multi-track recording of the audio. We typically upload one fully edited song to our YouTube channel and a snippet from the night as a reel. You'll get a copy of these to use as you wish also, as well as the full unedited video and audio. -
Additional Opportunities
As part of Last Wednesdays Club, we often run other events aimed to assist you in growing your profile and branding as an artist. These range from filming sessions, to photography headshots, plus workshops on sound and marketing. Sometimes these are available free, sometimes they have a fee attached. LWC artists will be given priority for these. -

Profit from the shows is split between the 4 acts and Last Wednesdays Club as a 5th act. The main focus for these shows is creating an amazing vibe to share your craft & capturing awesome video/photo content for you also. Like any show of this nature, dollars will depend on overall ticket sales and guest attendance on the night after running expenses.
Keen to play? Here's what we'll need from you:

Promo Photos
A good headshot or photo that captures your branding or essence/vibe. The goal should be that it's easily recognisable as you!

Social Links
Ideally your Instagram, a website link if you have one, and YouTube video and Spotify links. In order to promote you at the show - people need to be able to hear you!

Video/Audio
Please send us video or audio of you (live if possible), so we can get a sense of your act and craft. We aim to curate a combo of artists that all flow well together for each night (as best we can). -
We'd love...
We'd love you to share the event, and any marketing and promo on your socials as well.
***NOTE***
We're aware not all artists have all of the above, especially if you've been hiding out writing amazing tunes in your bedroom or studio at home, but been shy about performing live. Please reach out to us with what you have, and we'll do our best to help you with this too - it's literally part of why we set the night up so that you come away with great promo if you didn't have it before!
(If you want to do a photoshoot or film video content outside of the monthly night please reach out to us also as we have options and a great crew who do this).

Hosted by David Shanhun + a small crew of passionate muso's and humans around Auckland.
Last Wednesdays Club was born to give musicians a space to showcase their music to an appreciative audience, as well as taking out the hassle of promotion for the artists, leaving them free to focus on their craft and the show.
